Instagram has no download button on Android, but saving any public reel to your phone takes seconds — no login, no watermark, and the file lands right in your Gallery. Here's how, plus where it saves and how to fix the usual snags.
Download a reel on Android (3 steps)
- Copy the reel link. In Instagram, tap the share icon under the reel → Copy link.
- Open ReelsDownloader in Chrome. Go to reelsdownloader.in, paste the link — the video is detected automatically.
- Tap download. Pick your quality; the original file saves with no watermark.
Where the download goes on Android
Android saves it to your Downloads folder, and it shows up automatically in your Gallery / Google Photos (usually under a "Download" album). No manual move needed — unlike iPhone, Android puts media straight where you'd expect it. You'll also see it in the Chrome Downloads list (⋮ menu → Downloads).

Troubleshooting on Android
- "Download failed / nothing happens." The post is likely private. Only public reels work — test the link in a Chrome Incognito tab.
- "Can't find the file." Check Downloads (Files app) or the "Download" album in Gallery/Google Photos.
- "Chrome blocked the download." Tap the notification and allow it, or long-press the video → Download.
