Threads (Meta's text-and-media app, tied to Instagram) is full of short videos and photo posts, but it has no built-in download button. Here's how to save a Threads video or photo in its original quality, on any device, without logging in.

Before you start

  • Threads shares its account system with Instagram — if an Instagram profile is private, the linked Threads profile is too, and private posts can't be downloaded.
  • You can save public posts only. Quick check: open the post link in an incognito window; if it loads without a login prompt, it will download.

How to download from Threads (3 steps)

  1. Copy the post link. On the Threads post, tap the paper-plane/share icon (or the three-dot menu) and choose Copy link.
  2. Paste it into ReelsDownloader. Open ReelsDownloader and paste the link — the video or photos are detected automatically.
